The double and single acting pneumatic actuators are employed for the distance drive of quarter-turn applications, like butterfly and ball valves.
The double and single acting pneumatic actuators have a compact rack and pinion construction that occupies the total piston surface to develop the output torque. They are equipped with pistons with integrated guide of the rack, thus limiting the number of dynamic seals and reducing the air leakage.
Thanks to the double pistons, it is possible to prevent side loads on the pinion shaft and reduce the bushings wear. Coded with epoxy paint, the springs avoid corrosion.
The double and single acting pneumatic actuators are provided with ATEX II 2 GD certification and present a strong anodized aluminum body with external ESPC finishing, which makes them suitable for use in corrosive environments, including the marine one.
